While on vacation in Toronto when I was 11, I spent my entire life savings on 14 Lil’ Sports Brats at the Maple Leaf Gardens gift shop. They had all the teams, they were a cheap item for a kid to collect, and they were so cool. I’ve been collecting these ever since, and have more than 240 unique brats in my pile.
I specifically focus on the original series from JF Sports, which are all right-handed shooting players and goalies with no helmets. While there are other non-NHL franchises, I focus on the NHL teams, Team USA and Canada, and the Big10 college conference.
One of the main goals of this site is to connect with other collectors to see if we can create a master list of all the brats created, as I have not been able to find such a thing up to this point, and contacting JF Sports directly has not provided any additional information.
